What are some key differences in how you approach marketing your business now compared to before we started working together?
Prior to working with Chad if I did not write an email every week I would not get sales. This is because I had very little automation in place from sign up to first purchase. Also, my emails were very impersonal and always a sales pitch, now we have an ongoing conversation with my customers that is very personal and doesn’t always feel like I’m trying to “sell” them a product.
Have you adopted any new systems to make marketing your business more efficient or strategic?
The Drip workflows that Chad put into place has revolutionized our business. We have a steady line of sales regardless if I write emails or not. It has taken an immense amount of stress off my plate!
What has been the impact on your business? Any particular metrics that you’re really excited about (revenue, time to 1st purchase, repeat buyer rate, average order value, etc.)?
In the 14 months since we started working with Chad in August of 2018, we have seen a 70% increase in revenue and overall consistency and growth in returning customers and new customers.
Was there a specific strategy or two that we executed that made a tremendous difference either quickly, or over time?
The workflows in place was probably the first biggest difference because it took a lot of stress off my shoulders knowing that there were emails going out all the time to new customers and reminders to returning customers about our delivery.
Has the value you received as a result of the project been worth the investment of time and money?
Yes, the value we have received has been worth the time and investment! The continued support from Chad has encouraged me to keep learning and innovating along the way. I always learn something new!
What skills have been improved upon during our time together (copywriting, executing promotions, product development, understanding your customer, helping customers come to a buying decision, GrazeCart, Drip, email presentation, use of creative image, video, etc.)?
I would say the biggest skill that has improved is writing email copy. It was a real struggle for me to come up with content and write personal sounding emails, but with LOTS of help from Chad I have become much better at writing email copy.
What used to take me hours of thinking, writing and erasing now only takes 30 minutes – 1 hour to write one solid good email that gets RESULTS. I get great pleasure from writing a good email and then seeing the sales roll in as a result.
What new skills or strategies that you learned weren’t even on your radar prior to us working together?
I wasn’t very familiar with launches prior to working with Chad. I had just started to hear about them, but didn’t understand how they worked or how effective they would be.
That quickly changed after we had our first successful launch and then I was hooked! I also would say, I wasn’t really even aware of how well-written emails affected those who purchased, so that was a huge game-changer as well.
Has your thinking about the role of email changed? If so, can you describe?
I knew email was an important part of my marketing strategy, but I didn’t realize how it could be automated, walking people through a story and making them become familiar with my brand and working them into making them make their first purchase that they are happy to be making.
What was it like to work with me?
Chad is very professional, which made it a much easier decision to work and continue working with him pretty easy. He is very organized and outlines all projects in great detail, so you know all the steps he’s going to take and when you can expect them to be done.
He outlines emails very thoroughly and makes it easy to refer back to while working on projects with him.
It’s really been a pleasure working with Chad, he really understands how frazzled us farmers and ranchers can be and does his best to make all the things he is doing and teaching you to be as easily understandable as possible.
